This is the walkways down to a two tier viewing spot of the dam near our house, its at least 6 feet under water, but if you close your eyes and stand still for a minute and listen, you may think you're at the beach!

I feel like I keep carrying on about this each week, but its life here in Chattanooga right now, some people still have flooded driveways and neighborhood roads, the ridge we live on has one way traffic, because part of the road fell away and its been too wet to repair it yet.

So needless to say, we did not get to our planter boxes and laying our our yard this week. Saturday is our workday we set aside for the stuff I can't tackle on my own, so it started with cutting the rest of the tree up and removing it from our new area. I had a setback from my surgery Saturday afternoon, so had to rest and then the rain returned. We were however able to drag some of the logs out and then assess what we had and talk about some design ideas for the beds and the border of the garden. I also took inventory of all my leggy plants which are on the never ending search for light, and will be reseeding this week indoors. I haven't even been able to go out in my greenhouse as it a little flooded on the earth floor I have in there, and I have to slop through my soggy yard, so I have my greenhouse pretty much moved indoors. I purchased more seed starter and potting soil, and will get to reseeding this week, I think we were a little hasty on the seeds, and with the fickly weather, which may still linger a few more weeks, am replacing what to sow outdoors and to reseed indoors .

I forgot to get pictures of the yard in the light today, so snapped a few quick shots of the wood we will be using to build the beds for the front yard.
